Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss, recovering from a knee injury, affirms he will return at 100%.

Moss’s health is key to the Aggies’ offensive success and quarterback Marcel Reed reaching his potential.

Despite being sidelined during the spring game, Moss is expected to be the lead back, supported by a deep running back room.

Before his injury, Moss was on pace for a 1,000-yard season and is projected as a top 2026 NFL draft prospect if he returns to form.

Texas A&M’s 2025 offense will be defined by the running back, as starting quarterback Marcel Reed will need a balanced offense to reach his potential, and finally get the Aggies past the eight-win threshold. This starts and ends with senior running back Le’Veon Moss, who, after enduring a knee injury during the latter half of the 2024 season, has all but rehabbed his way back to the lineup this spring.

However, head coach Mike Elko and OC Collin Klein were overly cautious during the Maroon & White spring game, opting to keep Moss sidelined while sophomore Rueben Owens and both freshmen backs took a majority of the snaps, which seemed like the plan all along.

On Friday, I wrote about the possibility that Moss might not be 100% by the start of the season, as Pro Football Focus’s Max Chadwick stated that if Moss gets back to his 2024, he will likely emerge as the top RB prospect in the 2026 NFL draft.

Moss was on his way to rushing for 1,000-plus yards on the season before sustaining already accumulating 759 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. On Saturday, Moss took to social media in response to Chadwick’s comments, and for Aggie fans who were waiting for an official update, what’s better than hearing from the man himself?

While Moss is certainly confident, A&M’s running back depth will be the reason Moss stays fresh and gets back to form, knowing that a healthy Rueben Owens, Amari Daniels, and, yes, even senior E.J Smith, who is back for a final season, will not only help the Aggies achieve their goals but help Moss accomplish his NFL dream.
