In a move that sent shockwaves across the college football recruiting landscape, the top-ranked wide receiver in the state of Alabama, five-star prospect Brandon “Jet” Bennett, has officially committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, one of the sport’s premier powerhouses.

In his announcement speech, Bennett cited Georgia’s player development, offensive creativity, and a strong relationship with wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon as major factors in his decision.

Bennett has long been regarded as one of the top players in the nation, regardless of position. Ranked as the No. 1 receiver in Alabama and a consensus top-15 player nationally, he burst onto the scene as a sophomore with over 1,200 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. His junior season was even more electric, highlighted by multiple 200-yard games and a game-winning Hail Mary catch that went viral last fall.

 

Scouts praise his speed, crisp route running, and ability to high-point the football. His combination of athleticism and football IQ has drawn comparisons to former Alabama star and NFL Pro Bowler Calvin Ridley.
