Georgia Bulldogs 5-Star Commit Stuns College Football World with Decision to Flip and Join Michigan Wolverines……..

 

The 2025 Michigan Wolverines season kicks off on kicks off with a date against the New Mexico Lobos on August 30, 2025, giving coach Sherrone Moore time to prepare a team laden with veterans for the task at hand.

 

The Wolverines went 8-5 last season with key wins over USC, Ohio State, Alabama and others, and now feel the pressure of returning Michigan to its recent glory days in search of the program’s fourth Big Ten title in five years.

 

 

Michigan will lose several program legends to the NFL draft this season. The “next man up” mentality that permeates throughout the program will be tested as several players will be tasked with replacing them this upcoming season in Ann Arbor.

Here are five Wolverines players expected to replace program legends heading into the 2025 season.

As usual, it will be a team-first approach in Ann Arbor, but Michigan will need these guys to make plays as they are expected to take over on the 2025 depth chart.

 

5. Marlin Klein, TE-

 

Colston Loveland is a coveted prospect among several teams in the 2025 NFL draft after an impressive career with the Wolverines.

 

Klein is a tall, well-built native of Cologne, Germany who has shown plenty of promise as a receiver and blocker.

 

 

Klein had 13 catches for 108 yards last season, looking like a natural in late season big game appearances.

 

He won’t need to match Loveland’s production, but Michigan could use strong blocking and sure hands from him in the passing game to compete for a title in 2025.

 

4. Rayshaun Benny, DT-

 

A senior from Detroit, Benny had 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks in a defensive rotation with projected first round picks Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant.

 

Benny’s game has improved by leaps and bounds since he stepped foot on campus making him a strong bet to become an every down player in 2025.

 

3. Damon Payne, DT-

 

The former Alabama Crimson Tide member has the size to remind some of Grant with his ability to clog up the interior of the defensive line.

 

Payne will vie for snaps with Clemson transfer Tre Williams, holdover Trey Pierce and others on a Michigan defensive line that should become an asset in 2025.

 

2. Zeke Berry, CB/S-

Berry looks like the next big thing in the Michigan secondary based on his late season play.

 

He has the skills to seamlessly shift from the safety position to cornerback without skipping a beat.

 

If Berry can continue making plays, he could be the next man up in place of expected top ten pick Will Johnson in 2025.

 

1. Justice Haynes, RB-

 

Another transfer from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Haynes is a former five-star prospect who could fill the role once occupied by Donovan Edwards as a pass catcher and home run rushing threat out of the backfield.

 

Haynes has turned heads in offseason workout videos.

 

He will likely split time with Jordan Marshall in what could be one of the top running back duos in the Big Ten and the nation based on sheer talent alone.
