The Cowboys met with Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson at his pro day, per Tony Pauline.

Dylan Sampson is a running back from Tennessee, projected as a 2025 NFL Draft prospect. At 5-foot-11 and 201 pounds, he ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash. In 2024, he set Tennessee single-season records with 1,491 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns on 258 carries (5.8 YPC), earning SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors. Known for elite acceleration, vision, and contact balance, he forced 83 missed tackles and gained 929 yards after contact in his breakout junior year. While explosive and effective between the tackles, his smaller frame, limited receiving skills (40 career catches), and ball security issues (five fumbles) are concerns. Projected as a Day 2 or early Day 3 pick, Sampson offers dynamic upside as a complementary back with potential to develop into a starter in a zone scheme.
